DriveNow to augment its Hamburg-based electric fleet

DriveNow is substantially increasing the amount of electric vehicles in its fleet in Hamburg: The number of BMW i3 grows from currently 150 vehicles to 200. This means that the e-fleet in the Hanseatic city, which early in July 2015 initially included only 30 electric vehicles, has grown six-fold within a mere two-and-a-half years. In return, the city of Hamburg has set itself the goal of gradually setting up a total of 1,000 publicly accessible and additionally 150 charging points for electric cars until 2019. With a memorandum of understanding in May 2017, the hanseatic city and the BMW Group established a strategic partnership to set new standards in urban mobility.

DriveNow has been advancing electromobility for over four years and offers its customers at all locations the electric BMW i3 models. Through the e-car increase in Hamburg, DriveNow has expanded its entire e-fleet across all locations to over 1,000 vehicles.
