Start of round 01/2017 of the „Gruenderwettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen“

Phase one of the start-up competition „Gruenderwettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen“ 01/2017 has recently started. ICT start-up founders can now register with their business plans until 31 March 2017. Following phase one, each participant will receive a written SWOT analysis of his idea sketch. Phase 2 starts on 1 June 2017 with the nomination of up to TOP 50 sketches. The teams with the best ideas then have one month to revise their drafts and incorporate the professional feedback. After the final jury session, the winners will be awarded at IFA 2017 in Berlin.  

Up to six start-ups will be supported with the prize money of 32,000 Euros each. Furthermore, the start-up competition awards up to 15 ideas with prize money of 7,000 Euros each. Besides the financial support, all winners will be professionally mentored and will have access to a highly valuable network of founders and tech professionals.  This round’s special award with prize money of 10.000 Euros will be granted to the best FinTech idea.

The „Gruenderwettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen“ is a start-up  competition organised by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and is part of the Digital Agenda of the Federal Government. The competition has the goal to support innovative ideas and to help start-ups in the ICT industries to accelerate.
